Sound Bath
Experience a therapeutic and relaxing sound bath with Ryan
My passion for playing music has led me down a path of transformation through using sound restoratively. I received my certification as an ASM sound bath practitioner in early 2022, and now find joy in holding space and creating soundscapes for others.

“A Sound Bath is a deeply-immersive, full-body listening experience that intentionally uses sound to invite gentle yet powerful therapeutic and restorative processes to nurture your mind and body.”
— Sara Auster, world-renowned sound therapist, meditation teacher and author.
How Can Sound Baths Be
Therapeutic?
Sound baths can be therapeutic because the vibrations created by the various instruments used can have a positive effect on the body and mind. The vibrations from the instruments can help to stimulate the body's natural healing processes, and can also help to reduce stress, anxiety and tension. Additionally, the deep state of relaxation that is induced during a sound bath can be beneficial for reducing muscle tension, reducing chronic pain, and helping to improve sleep. The meditative atmosphere created by the sounds can also be helpful in promoting mindfulness and promoting a sense of inner peace. Overall, the sound vibrations and the meditative atmosphere created by a sound bath can have a holistic healing effect on the body and mind.
Sound baths can also be uncomfortable, can be churning…emotions can rise to the surface that make things uneasy. THERAPEUTIC -that word is used here intentionally. It requires you to be present in the moment, to show up for yourself.
“If we accept that sound is vibration and we know that vibration touches every part of our physical being, then we understand that sound is heard not only through our ears but through every cell in our bodies.”
— Dr. Mitchell Gaynor, director of Medical Oncology and Integrative Medicine, the Cornell Cancer Prevention Center in New York.
Try a sound bath at home!
I have taken the time to record and release a live sound bath I held just outside Yosemite National Park.
It is 24 minutes long, so take the time to prepare your safe space.
Light a candle or incense.
I find laying down with some comfortable blankets is the best.
Wear an eye mask, or lay a fabric over them to shield the light out.
Set an intention and let go as you fully begin to listen.
If your thoughts wander, gently return back to your breath and body.
For the best experience, please listen through headphones or a stereo speaker.
Note: An audio recording will not provide the same experience as an actual in person sound bath!
Find a sound bath near you or reach out to me and let’s make one happen.
